Limited Submission Funding Opportunity: NIMHD Centers for Multiple Chronic Diseases Associated with Health Disparities: Prevention, Treatment, and Management (P50 Clinical Trial Required)

INTERNAL MATERIALS DEADLINE: May 14, 2021. As the Nation’s steward of biomedical and behavioral research, NIH has devoted considerable resources to characterize the root causes of health disparities, uncovering complex webs of interconnected factors (e.g., behavioral, biological, social, environmental, system and policy factors) acting at multiple levels across the life course.

Limited Submission Funding Opportunity: NIMHD Multiple Chronic Disease Disparities Research Coordinating Center (RCC) (U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

INTERNAL MATERIALS DEADLINE: May 14, 2021. NIMHD invites applications from eligible institutions to establish a Research Coordinating Center (RCC) to support NIMHD P50 comprehensive research centers on prevention, treatment, and management of comorbid chronic diseases associated with health disparities authorized in Public Law 116-260, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021.

Limited Submission Funding Opportunity: DOE Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR)

INTERNAL MATERIALS DEADLINE: May 3, 2021. The DOE SC program in Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) hereby announces its interest in research applications to explore potentially high-impact approaches in the development and use of data reduction techniques and algorithms to facilitate more efficient analysis and use of massive data sets produced by observations, experiments and simulation.

Limited Submission Funding Opportunity: Breast Cancer Alliance Young Investigator Grants Program

INTERNAL MATERIALS DEADLINE: May 21, 2021. To encourage a commitment to breast cancer research, Breast Cancer Alliance invites clinical doctors and research scientists, including post docs, whose primary focus is breast cancer and who are in the early stages of their careers, to apply for funding for the Young Investigator Grant. This is a two-year grant for a total of $125,000, with half the grant award being paid out each year.

Award Nomination Opportunity: AAAS Awards (2022 Awards Cycle)

INTERNAL MATERIALS DEADLINES: June 30, July 19, and August 1, 2021. The 2022 awards cycle will open on April 15 2021. To recognize scientists, engineers, authors, journalists, and public servants for significant contributions to science and the public’s understanding of science, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) sponsors a wide range of awards and prizes.

Center for Antiracist Research Request For Proposals

INTERNAL MATERIALS DEADLINE: April 12, 2021. The Boston University Center for Antiracist Research is calling for applications for our 2021 Research and Policy Teams Program (R&P Teams). Part of the core mission of the Center’s work is developing problem-centered and solution-oriented R&P Teams to exhaustively research and develop policy correctives for issues of critical racial inequity or injustice. Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research Global Scholars Program 2021

DEADLINE: May 10, 2021. Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) have invited Boston University to participate in their NIBR Global Scholars Program 2021. The program will provide BU faculty investigators with access to disease area drug-hunting and translational research expertise. Selected proposals, not funded by traditional grant support, will receive up to $1 million over three years.
