Vanessa Boland Edouard
Assistant Vice President of Research Operations and Chief of Staff
Reporting to the Vice President and Associate Provost for Research, Vanessa serves as the Assistant Vice President for Research Operations and Chief of Staff for the Office of Research. She provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership to support the Office of Research and its 20+ reporting units, and serves as a key advisor to the VP/AP of Research.
Prior to joining the Office of Research, Vanessa served as the Assistant Dean for Faculty Advancement and Strategic Initiatives at the Boston University School of Public Health. In this role, she oversaw strategic planning, faculty recruitment, faculty development, institutional data, and directed the school’s research innovation center. She has previous experience in educational evaluation, curriculum redesign, and managing accreditation. Vanessa holds an MPH in International Health and MBA in Organizational Transformation, both from Boston University, and a BA from Connecticut College.
