This webinar targets supported housing professionals, outlining the importance of employment for recovery from serious mental health conditions. Professionals working in supported housing may be in a unique position to boost client self-esteem, identify strengths to guide employment opportunities, and advocate for the initiation of supported employment services. In order to properly advocate for the role of supported employment in recovery, presenters outline the principles of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model of supported employment.
