The Topics in Politics (TIPS) Workshop is a Graduate Student-led Department of Political Science initiative, committed to fostering fellowship, collaboration, and cross-department connection across the Department of Political Science Graduate Students, at both the MA and Ph.D. level. The purpose of the workshop is to allow participants to gain experience presenting their research and practice public speaking, to receive (and give) constructive feedback, and for attendees to learn more about their peers’ research. Each semester, the TIPS Workshop will announce a call for working papers or abstracts and choose from the pool a number of successful submissions to present their research during the following semester. All members of the Department of Political Science community, as well as the wider Boston University community, are welcome to attend the presentations. The TIPS Workshop aims to include graduate student participants from various fields, departments & schools, research backgrounds, and from all years.
