Beginner Backpacking Workshop

Curious about what it takes to go backpacking? This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the essential skills needed for a successful backpacking trip, including gear selection, packing techniques, campsite setup, and Leave No Trace principles. You’ll have the chance to practice each skill in a supportive environment and gain confidence for future adventures. Equipment will be provided by BU Outdoor Programs. After registering, you’ll receive an email with more details by 6pm on the Monday before your trip. If you have any specific questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at buop@bu.edu!
