Ph.D. Candidate; Job Candidate

Leo joined the Ph.D. program in Political Science in Fall 2019. His research and teaching interests cover a variety of topics in the history of political philosophy, comparative and contemporary political theory, and American political thought. Leo’s dissertation investigates the reception and adaptation of classical political thought in the Islamic tradition in the work of Alfarabi.

Prior to coming to Boston, Leo studied philosophy, and political science in Iran, the Netherlands, and Hungary. Before entering the philosophical and political worlds, he studied and practiced architecture. Leo stays connected with art and does photography in his spare time.
