The PIT-UN Convening is the annual gathering of the Public Interest Technology University Network. Each year it is hosted by one of the Network members in a different city in the USA, and it brings hundreds of participants – among academics, civil society, funders, government and the private sector – together to explore how to further this core field of knowledge and practice.
This year’s Convening is organized around the Partnership for Impact theme. It will explore how universities and their community, including students, can partner with government, companies, universities, and community organizations to foster public interest in technology and address modern challenges. This year’s agenda includes panels, keynote conversations, and a student engagement track.
Topics from past Convenings, including data privacy, equitable design, cybersecurity, ethics in AI, public infrastructure, green technologies and more, will be discussed.
