Research Interests:
I work on a variety of problems in theoretical biophysics, in collaboration with the Mehta, Korolev and Segre labs. Currently I am studying the statistical properties of large, diverse ecosystems using a combination of numerical simulation and mathematical analysis, adapting methods originally developed in the physics of disordered systems. I am also interested in applications of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics to biology, including the elucidation of thermodynamic requirements of biochemical clocks, and the emergence of novel phase behavior in chemically driven macromolecular assemblies.
