Durban UN Climate Change Conference Accreditations

unfcccFrom November 28 to December 9 2011, the United Nations Climate Change Conference will be held in Durban, South Africa. The Conference will include the 17th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 17) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and associated meetings COM/MOP 7, SBSTA 35, SBI 35, AWG-LCA and AWG-KP. Many side events and parallel meetings will also take place, including CGIAR /IFAD‘s Agriculture and Rural Development Day ; UNEP FI‘s World Climate Summit ; Climate Communications Day and CIFOR‘s Forest Day.

As an Observer Organization, Boston University can provide accreditation to members of the BU community and research partners to attend the Durban meetings. The Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future is Boston University’s Designated Contact Point to the UNFCCC. The deadline for nominations is September 27, 2011.
