Fawn Thompson is a Lead Instructional Designer at the Office of Distance Education of Boston University, co-leading a team with Shelby Harvey. She cares deeply about lifelong learning and mentoring, and won the Online Learning Consortium 2018 Effective Practices Award in recognition of her peer review method for course design. Her method and findings were published by OLC in February 2019. Fawn also completed a Certificate in Leaders of Learning from HarvardX.
Before specializing in instructional design, Fawn taught courses and workshops in a broad range of creative topics—from digital animation to live puppetry. She is currently a volunteer mentor for a number of Boston-area organizations that support youth development in the arts and technology.
