David Field is a Lead Faculty and Student Support Administrator in BU Virtual, supporting the College of Fine Arts and the School of Social Work. He is a published author and a graduate of Lesley University’s MFA program in Creative Writing, where he studied creative pedagogy and the craft of writing fiction. He also received his undergraduate degree in English from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
David has experience as a writing consultant, a student mentor, and a teacher of creative writing, with emphasis on distance education. He is an instructor with Boston’s creative writing non-profit GrubStreet and an Interdisciplinary Studies advisor at Lesley. David’s academic work has helped foster his commitment to accessibility, making sure all students are given the tools and support needed to find success in the classroom, whether virtual or in-person.
When he isn’t busy writing or teaching, David loves reading, taking walks, and singing karaoke with his friends.
