Melanie Packard

Assistant Instructional Designer

Melanie joined the Online Learning team within OD&L, where she will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing asynchronous online learning solutions for our employees. Melanie will also support the development of the toolkits related to the performance process initiative and the leadership playlist. In addition, she will collaborate closely with stakeholders across BUHR and the broader university community to address learning needs and deliver content through multiple modalities, prioritizing accessibility and inclusive learning practices.

 Melanie is a resourceful and creative instructional designer with a passion for creating impactful and dynamic learning experiences. She brings 6 years of experience in successfully implementing live, blended, and flipped adult classroom curricula, covering various initiatives such as onboarding, leadership soft skills, clinical training, and proprietary system training. She holds a B.S. in Speech Pathology from Ithaca College as well as certifications in Graphic Design, Instructional Design, and Project Management. She also works closely with the Global Autism Project, having traveled with them in 2019 to work with a school in the Netherlands. Melanie is a social introvert and avid traveler who loves nothing more than spending time at the beach with a good book and her sweet golden retriever.
