Joy Chen (She/her/hers)

In her role as Director of Leadership Development, Joy is charged with leading programming and strategic initiatives to support leadership at all phases of their career journey at Boston University. She brings over 15 years of adult learning, systems thinking, and facilitation experience.

Joy holds a master’s degree in Organization Development from American University and a B.A. from the University of Maryland. She served in Morocco as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 2008-2010. As a dedicated yoga practitioner and certified teacher, Joy purposefully weaves mindfulness and somatic tools in her work as appropriate. Outside of work, Joy is often found reading and/or enjoying the outdoors. She loves to garden, hike, mountain bike, and ski.
