I utilized Terrier eDevelopment to listen to the audiobook, #UsToo: Bridging the Global Gender Gap by Debjani Mukherjee Biswas (there’s even a book version available). As a woman in tech, I was drawn to this book because, among many other things, Ms. Biswas is a female engineer with global experience. So I was interested in her perspective on how we can seek to heal from the #MeToo movement revelations and bridge gender power gaps. And I’m glad I did, because her framing is very action oriented. Throughout the book, she offers thoughtful questions that effectively prompt the reader to truly reflect on their own understanding of gender power dynamics and she even dedicates a chapter to action planning. I chose the audiobook because Ms. Biswas is actually the narrator and I ended up really enjoying her energy and hearing her communicate her own words. I love that Terrier eDevelopment offers audiobook formats in general; there is an app and being able to listen while cleaning or on a walk really allows me to learn and tackle some personal or professional development goals without adding anything overwhelming to my to do list.
Please read it with eyes wide open. I hope you will disagree with me because that will mean you are using your mind and thinking independently. We can both share diverse opinions and come to a bridging point in the middle.
