Michelle Sherman
Director, Pre-health Programs & Advising
I became a Terrier F1rsts Advocate to learn more about the unique challenges our first-generation college students face and how to better serve them from a pre-health advising lens. I also want to make sure students and eligible alumni are aware of the Pre-Professional Advising Office! My pre-health advising colleagues and I are available to help any undergraduate student, as well as any alumni from one of our undergraduate programs. We are available to discuss anything to do with being on the pre-health track. For example, curriculum planning, exploring your interests through experiential learning opportunities, building your network, developing your overall portfolio, preparing for the application process, how to ask and who to ask to write your letters of recommendation, and much more!

I love spending time outdoors, playing games (virtual, board, card, anything really), playing and watching sports (Go Celtics, Bruins, NE Pats, NE Revs, Red Sox, and of course, BU!), boating (mostly sailing), reading, cooking/baking, and I LOVE animals. My husband and I are avid soccer players and we both play and coach regularly (usually together!). I have been a member of Old Colony Women’s Soccer League for many years and am the current President. We are also active members in our church and local community and I volunteer as the Fundraising Coordinator for Bethesda House, a local faith based non-profit organization that provides long-term temporary housing for women who are pregnant or parenting a child and are experiencing homelessness.
