Michaela McSweeney
Assistant Professor, Philosophy
I want to support my students in every way possible. I have significant family educational privilege, but I have also found that I often connect with first-gen students well in other ways, and I want to serve as an ally and better understand the experiences of my students in general. I am also interested in specific ways that I can become a better teacher to my first-gen students, and also ways that I can help my home department be as welcoming and thoughtful as possible in our teaching, program structure, and advising, both for undergraduates and graduate students.
