I became a Terrier F1RSTS Advocate because I want to better understand and support first-generation students in my role as an advisor. I know how challenging college can be, and how many of those challenges extend beyond tests and homework. For students who may be navigating college without the same familiarity, resources, or support systems, having someone in their corner can make a meaningful difference. I hope to be someone first-generation students feel comfortable turning to for support, guidance, or simply someone in their corner as they navigate BU.
