I became a Terrier F1RSTS Advocate because, as a former first-generation college (and graduate!) student, I found a passion in helping other first-gen students throughout an immensely formative time. Being first-gen is an incredible source of pride, but it can also be a heavy burden to bear. I’d like students to know that there are always people in your corner.
