I think it is very important as an advisor that I support my students to the best of my ability. As someone that is not a first generation student, I want to be sure I am making an effort to learn more about an experience that is different from my own, so I can support all students better. I want to make sure first-generation students at Pardee know they can come to me with their questions and I will help them find answers and support them.
