Kuang Li

Postdoctoral Associate

As the first person in my family who went to graduate school, I strongly identified with other first-gen students who face the challenges of navigating the hidden curriculum of higher education. Additionally, as an international student, I encountered unique challenges during my graduate studies. However, with the close guidance and generous support of many faculty members and friends, my master’s and doctoral journeys were both meaningful and rewarding. I am proud to be one of the Terrier F1RSTS advocates at BU, which gives me a great opportunity to pass on the mentorship and support I have received to students in need. As an advocate, a mentor, and a resource, I want all first-gen students at BU to feel comfortable reaching out to me. Nothing makes me happier than seeing first-gen students thrive at BU and beyond.
