Kristyn Dempsey
Assistant Director, Humphrey Fellowship Program
I work primarily with international graduate exchange students who only spend one year in the US. Some of them have indicated that they are first-generation undergraduate and graduate students, so I wanted to learn how to help them effectively manage their short time at BU without worrying about more administrative or cultural concerns. I had never seen a training for first-generation graduate students specifically, and was interested in learning more about how to help this population.
