Kali vom Eigen

Graduate Fellow

As an undergraduate, I conducted a research project on the impact of hidden curriculum on the success of first-generation/low-income students in STEM majors, and since then have become passionate about reducing barriers for first-generation students in science and higher education. I wanted to become a Terrier F1RSTS Advocate to learn how to best support BU’s first-generation students in navigating the complex challenges of college life, and specifically how I can make a positive impact through my role as a graduate teaching fellow. I’m happy to chat about STEM classes, pursuing future careers in research, or anything else!
