I became an advocate to help make BU a welcoming learning environment for first generation students. As a sociologist, it’s important to me that my teaching and mentorship acknowledge how structural inequalities shape our experiences of education. I aim to provide courses and mentorship that are inclusive and responsive to the diverse experiences, strengths, and needs of our first generation students.
