I believe strongly that anyone can learn anything. And I find that many students are discouraged from studying physics for a variety of unfortunate and unnecessary reasons. I have mentored students from a wide range of under-represented backgrounds, including first-generation students. I became an advocate so that more students might be able to find me and know that I am here as a resource.
