Graduate & Professional Student Events

Check out our recurring events for Graduate & Professional Students.
  • Newbury Center Orientation & Welcome Dinner for First-Generation Graduate & Professional Students
    • The Newbury Center Orientations provide first-generation grad & professional students a warm welcome to BU. Held at the beginning of the fall and spring semester (second week of the semester), these events introduce students to the resources of the Newbury Center, teaches them some ins and outs of being a first-gen student at BU, and helps them build community with people they can grow and get to know better at future graduate student events. This event is designed for new students or returning first-gen students who have not yet interacted with the Newbury Center.

      • First-Gen Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Lunch at BUMC
      • First-Gen Graduate & Professional Student Social at Fuller’s Pub

Most of our Newbury Center events on the Events Calendar and the Signature Events & Programs pages are designed to be inclusive of first-generation undergraduate, graduate, & professional students. If an event is designed for an undergraduate student audience, then we will mention this specific audience in the event description.
