Rosemary Ferreira
Assistant Director, Newbury Center
I became a Terrier F1RSTS Advocate because as a first-generation student myself, I know the challenges and fears of navigating higher education. I also know that the community I developed with other first-generation working-class students of color at my historically white institution, is what pulled us through to graduation and beyond. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to support first-gen students at BU with any challenge they might be experiencing, whether it be writing your first paper or dealing with a conflict with your roommate. I want you to know that you will have someone who will listen and support you.
