I know what it’s like to be of working class first generation background and not to know a lot of practical things as well as the implicit curriculum. I would like to mentor and give back and advocate based on my experiences.

  • Personal Facts/ Hobbies/ Interests: I am both a clinical social worker trained and certified as an Internal Family System therapist and an ordained Unitarian Universalist clergy person and an individual and group spiritual director trained through Still Harbor. I have many social justice commitments and practices as well, particularly in regards to racial and economic justice and climate change. My dissertation became a book published as part of an international series on lived religion and trauma. I am married to a man of indigenous Texas Cherokee heritage and my family is multiracial, including a goddaughter, god-granddaughter, and delightful new baby god-grandson. My spouse and I also are the proud owners of fur family cats. I’m a lifelong lover of reading and learning and a geek for movies, including science fiction and fantasy.
