Sarah Hunter

Sarah Hunter is the Assessment and Project Management Librarian at Boston University Libraries where her work centers on leading large- and small-scale library projects, coordinating annual assessment surveys, and producing strategic analytics that inform institutional decision-making. She is also currently serving as the Associate University Librarian for Collections and Library Services, ad interim, providing leadership for Access Services, Library Technology & Discovery Services, Materials Services, and Metadata Services.

With nearly 20 years of experience at BU Libraries, Sarah brings broad operational expertise across multiple functional areas. Her career path reflects a commitment to understanding how library functions interconnect to support the institution’s mission. She is skilled at translating university and library goals into actionable plans, fostering collaborative teams, and managing complex workflows that engage multiple departments and external partners. Her prior roles at BU Libraries include Chief Collections Strategist, Electronic Inventory Manager, and Assistant Head of the Music Library.
