Later today: Killing Us Softly: Advertising’s Image of Women (4th edition)
The Pickering Library’s Education on Film series continues later today, Tuesday, April 3rd at 5pm. We will be showing the film Killing Us Softly: Advertising’s Image of Women (4th edition) from the library’s Kanopy database. The movie examines the challenges women continue to face through advertising: images that stereotype women in a number of ways and that promote unhealthy body images. What does this have to do with education? Well, do kids who go to school watch TV? #knowyourstudents.
