Pickering Education Library receives gift collection
A collection of books has been provided from the library of Deborah Peters Goessling. Dr. Goessling received her Doctorate in Special Education from Boston University in 1994. She was a professor of Special Education at the University of Maine and then at Providence College, and she spent her life educating others about people with disabilities. In 2008 Dr. Goessling was diagnosed with ALS, after which she continued to educate, this time with a firsthand perspective, until she succumbed to the disorder in 2010. The personal writings and books from her library will continue her legacy of inclusion and community for all and the foundational belief that all students can learn.
