Open Digital Pedagogy Discussion, 12/15, 12-1pm
On Thursday, December 15, the BU Libraries’ Digital Scholarship Services will be hosting a discussion on open digital pedagogy: how do we define it and what does/could it look like at BU?
We’ll be using the article “Open Digital Pedagogy = Critical Pedagogy” as our jumping-off point for the discussion; you may also find it helpful to look at the “Open” chapter in Digital Pedagogy in the Humanities: Concepts, Models, and Experiments for some examples of open digital pedagogy in action.
The discussion will be held on Thursday, December 15, 12-1pm, in the Mugar Memorial Library, Administration Office, Large Conference Room.
Directions: To get to the discussion location, please go to the GSU Link; enter the bank lobby opposite the Mugar main entrance; and go up the stairs to the administrative suite. The large conference room will be on your left. If you need to reach the room without using stairs, please use the elevator just inside the main entrance to the library to go to the third floor. Out of the elevator, go around the wall and to the left into the administrative suite.
This is the third in a series of Open Meetups, monthly informal gatherings that will bring together members of the BU community to engage in issues of open access, open data, and open education. Contact Anna Newman at newmanaa@bu.edu with any questions.
