Mission Statement

Lavender House is a living learning community for the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies. Lavender House aims to create a gentle and affirming environment that supports students’ identity development and fosters a sense of community outside of the classroom. Connected to the LGBTQIA+ Student Resource Center, Lavender House facilitates the development of community through programming that encourages students to find themselves and recognize themselves in others. As they gain an understanding of their inner world and build connections with their peers, students will work together to envision and implement more sustainable and equitable ways of living.
