Event Highlights: Latinx Voters – A Misunderstood Demographic

On October 27, 2022, in the lead up to the midterm elections in the US, the Center for Latin American Studies hosted a faculty roundtable to explore Latinx electoral politics. The speakers included Taylor Boas (Political Science), Susan Eckstein (Pardee School), Natalia Escobar-Pemberthy (Pardee School), Jorge Heine (Pardee School), and Rachel Meade (Political Science). The conversation was moderated by Rady Roldan-Figueroa, Associate Professor of the History of Christianity & Director of the Center for Latin American Studies. Among the topics discussed were recent voting patterns, shifting demographics, generational divides, and diverging concerns among Latinx voters of different backgrounds.
