James Feigenbaum studies economic history, labor economics, and political economy. His research interests include inequality, intergenerational mobility, health and mortality, and labor markets in the 19th and early 20th century US, spanning cities during the Age of Mass Migration and the epidemiological transition to the postbellum South. He is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the NBER in the Development of the American Economy program.
