David is the Program Manager for MetroBridge, the experiential learning program of the Boston University Initiative on Cities (IOC). In this role, he works to embed real-world projects for municipalities and community organizations into courses at BU, providing research support to communities and hands-on learning experiences to students. Students in MetroBridge courses gain transferable skills for their future careers while addressing urban challenges in areas such as racial equity, sustainability, public health, social services, and civic engagement — among many others.

Additionally, David manages the IOC’s fellowship and internship program, working to provide BU students with meaningful paid opportunities with municipal governments.

David previously served as the IOC’s Program Manager and Administrator. In that role he coordinated and executed core IOC programs including its seed grant fund, fellowship program, and events. He also managed IOC’s student staff, providing mentorship and fostering professional development.

Prior to joining the IOC, David worked as a Senior Program Coordinator for Clinical & Experiential Programs at Boston University School of Law, where he provided critical administrative support for the BU/MIT Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property, and Cyberlaw Program during a period of significant expansion.

David holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Clark University, where he worked in teams to write strategic management and marketing plans for various community-based organizations. David also holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from American University, a Master of Arts in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development from the University for Peace in Costa Rica, and a Bachelor of Arts from Clark University. He grew up in Tampa, FL and is a fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning, as well as an avid hiker.
