Andrew Trlica received his PhD from Boston University’s Department of Earth & Environment in 2019. Andrew’s work centers on landscapes defined by the human presence — including managed forests, farms, and cities. He draws perspectives from the fields of biogeochemistry, remote sensing, and landscape ecology, employing computational tools derived from statistical analysis, data science, and GIS. His work is united by the drive to deepen our understanding of how human activities affect ecosystem function, with the goal to better manage and protect the landscapes upon which we as a species depend.
