Associate Professor of Economics

Adam GurenĀ is an empirical macroeconomist. His work is primarily at the intersection of the housing market, household finance, and the macroeconomy, encompassing house prices, the 2000s housing boom and bust, housing wealth effects, foreclosures and foreclosure policy, mortgage design, and macroprudential policy. He has also studied labor markets, trade, and the macroeconomy. He teaches PhD and MA macroeconomic theory, as well as topics in macroeconomics and housing policy for undergraduates. He is a faculty research fellow at the NBER.
