Daniel Miller’s research interests include child obesity and the effects of the environment on racial and ethnic disparities in rates of overweight and obese children, the intersection of developmental science and social policy, and father involvement and child outcomes. He currently teaches Human Behavior in the Social Environment and Social Perspectives on Health and Illness.

Miller is co-leading a research project along with Thomas Byrne and Yoonsook Ha to identify key gaps in existing knowledge about unaccompanied homeless adults who experience related episodes of shelter use over time. This project is sponsored by the IOC and features Boston as its case study.
