Gabrielle Pierce
Graduate Research Assistant
Gabrielle (she/her) is a graduate student of Education Policy at Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education. She earned her undergraduate degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Education Systems from San Diego State University, graduating summa cum laude. Throughout her academic career, Gabrielle has been committed to examining and addressing the inequities that persist in the school system, affecting students with disabilities and other marginalized populations.
Alongside this, Gabrielle teaches ELA intervention at a public middle school in Lawrence, Massachusetts through Teach for America. In this role, she supports Special Education students in vocabulary acquisition, grammar development, reading fluency and comprehension, and effective writing skills. In addition, she helps lead the Education Policy team at the Alliance for Civic Engagement in conducting non-partisan research on education policy issues to effectively educate young voters. In her free time, you can probably find her reading a book, watching a movie, decorating a birthday cake, or hanging out with her orange tabby named Boo!
