Onjoli Palmer

Student Multimedia Assistant

Onjoli Palmer (she/her) is a passionate second-year student at Boston University, majoring in Anthropology at the College of Arts and Sciences and minoring in Film/TV through the College of Communication. She explores the intersection of culture, storytelling, and visual media to broaden her understanding of how people and the stories they carry shape the world we inhabit. She continues to be inspired by her deep interest in social inequities, motivating her work to amplify narratives that both challenge injustice and spark discussion.

Onjoli expanded her skills working as a Social Media Manager for Imagine More Story Adventures, a Storytelling organization focused on early childhood literacy. Through shooting, planning, and editing creative social media campaigns, Onjoli engaged both families and educators through compelling visuals. She emphasized promoting early reading and equal access to books in the city of Philadelphia, where she resides. In response to the city’s declining literacy rates among urban youth, she has been determined to utilize the power of media to amplify narratives and inform people about these trends.

For leisure, Onjoli enjoys spending her time rock climbing, doing yoga, and  shooting film or taking photos whenever she gets the chance.
