Sasa Ramos
Student Office Assistant
Sasa (he/they) is a third-year, first-generation college student in the College of Arts & Sciences, majoring in Sociology with a minor in Urban Studies. Born and raised in San Francisco to Filipino immigrant parents, he draws inspiration from the city’s rich history of community organizing. His work is rooted in storytelling as a tool for advocacy, particularly for immigrant survivors of domestic violence.
Mentoring young people ages 4 to 18, they have applied strengths-based learning to foster collaboration within diverse cohorts. In recognition of his intersectional leadership, Sasa was honored to receive the Posse Scholarship in 2023 and the Prism Foundation Scholarship in 2024—each affirming the transformative power of QTPOC voices to shape a more just future.
Sasa is passionate about advancing housing justice for working-class, immigrant communities through urban design and social policy.
