Creative Placemaking in Cities – Panel Discussion April 13th
As cities grow, adapt, and develop, some struggle to promote a vibrant arts and cultural community. How can urban leaders embrace the arts and use them to benefit the city as a whole? What is the value in urban “placemaking?” Join us Wednesday April 13th, 4:00pm-5:30pm at the Katzenberg Center on the 3rd floor of the BU College of General Studies, 871 Commonwealth Avenue, for coffee and conversation with experts in arts and urban placemaking.
Moderated by Jen Guillemin, interim Director of the Boston University School of Visual Arts, this panel discussion will feature:
- Julie Burros – Chief of Arts and Culture for the City of Boston
- Karl Dean – Initiative on Cities Mayor-in-Residence and former Mayor of Nashville, TN
