This course, “Back to the Past,” uniquely engages students with the past through a game-based approach where they not only play but also design immersive role-playing games as part of the “Reacting to the Past” (RTTP) consortium. RTTP’s methodology emphasizes experiential learning, encouraging students to dive deep into critical historical, social, political, and cultural debates by adopting roles from the past. BU Hub Areas (Effective Fall 2018): Creativity/Innovation, Teamwork/Collaboration, Writing Intensive, Research and Information Literacy.
