Ambassador Lyne spent 29 years in the Foreign Service, serving in Cambodia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Gabon, Algeria, Australia, Lebanon, and Ghana, as well as in Washington, D.C., and at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. He taught graduate and undergraduate coures related to U.S. Foreign Policy and the Vietnam War. He occasionally gives papers and writes reviews on topics concerning the American involvement in Vietnam.
