PhD Student
Claire Affinito entered the PhD program in the fall of 2020 after earning her BA in History in 2019 and her BS in Secondary Social Studies Education in 2020, both from Shepherd University. She is studying 19th century American history with Dr. Silber. Her focus is on memory, monumentation, and the creation of mythology related to the American Civil War.
