Sheng received his bachelor’s degree in space physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and joined BU last year. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Astronomy Department. His research topic is mainly focused on how to apply an artificial neural network to earth’s radiation belt, especially reconstructing particle and wave distribution and find or testify the relationship between them. He is working on HISS wave amplitude evolution in the plasmaspheric plume.
