Dr. Noelle Saillant is a trauma and acute care surgeon dedicated to the care of critically ill patients through a multifaceted approach that integrates surgical practice, intensive care, education, and research. She completed her undergraduate and medical education at Boston University before training in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, followed by specialized training in trauma, emergency surgery, and critical care at the University of Pennsylvania.
The early years of her career were spent as a trauma surgeon and intensivist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), where she also served as the Surgical Clerkship Director. For over three years, she has been a faculty member at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where she currently holds the positions of Chief of Surgical Critical Care and Program Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Fellowship. In a multidisciplinary capacity, she has led major quality improvement initiatives, billing reform, and the development of ICU-centric education.
