Michelle Teplensky is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Her lab researches engineering nanotechnology to control immunological cell connectivity, processing, and communication by design. In doing so, they attempt to elucidate fundamentals about cellular events and leverage this knowledge to develop improved therapeutics and vaccines that can impact the treatment of cancer and infectious disease. Their work bridges the fields of engineering, chemistry, nanotechnology, immunology, and biomaterials.
