Deepti Ghadiyaram, PhD

Deepti is a Moorman-Simon Interdisciplinary Career Development Assistant Professor at Boston University in the Department of Computer Science and also an Affiliated Faculty with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences. Her research interests are in building safe, interpretable, and robust computer vision systems, improving their reasoning and generation capabilities. Before joining BU, Deepti was a Member of Technical Staff at Runway and a Senior Research Scientist at Meta AI. Deepti earned her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017. She is an active contributor to the research community, frequently serving as Program and Area Chair for conferences including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, and NeurIPS, where she also hosts tutorials and workshops.
