Brian Walsh, PhD

Professor Brian Walsh’s research interests include space and plasma dynamics in planetary space environments. Of particular interest are the plasma interactions in the near-Earth environment and the coupling of energy from the sun into Earth’s magnetic system. As an experimentalist, Dr. Walsh is involved in a number of ongoing NASA spacecraft missions.

Dr. Walsh is currently involved in the development of soft x-ray technology to image solar wind charge-exchange around planetary bodies.
